Cooking Ingredients for Jerk Seasoning (Dry) Recipe

1 tb Onion flakes
1 tb Onion powder
2 ts Ground thyme
2 ts Salt
1 ts Ground Jamaican pimento;
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
1/4 ts Ground cinnamon
2 ts Sugar
1 ts Black pepper; coarsely
1 ts Cayenne pepper
2 ts Dried chives; OR
2 ts Green onions; dried

Jerk Seasoning (Dry) Preparation

Preparation: Mix together all the ingredients. Store leftovers in a tightly closed glass jar. It will keep its pungency for over a month. NOTES : This seasoning mix is excellent to have on hand to sprinkle on cooked and uncooked fish, vegetables, or snacks. It does not have quite as strong flavor as the rub and the marinade.
