Cooking Ingredients for Maple Spam Stuffed Squash Recipe

3 sm Acorn squash; halved, seeded
1/2 c Chopped celery
1/4 c Chopped onion
2 tb Butter or margarine
1 cn Spam luncheon meat – (12
-oz); chopped
1-1/2 c Frozen cubed hash browns;
1/2 c Chopped apple
1/4 c Maple syrup

Maple Spam Stuffed Squash Preparation

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place squash, cut side up, in a buttered 13- by 9-inch baking pan. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, saute celery and onion in butter or margarine until tender. Stir in Spam and potatoes. Cook, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are browned. Stir in apple and syrup. Spoon 1/2 cup Spam mixture into each squash half. Cover. Bake 40 to 50 minutes. This recipe yields 6 servings.
