Cooking Ingredients for Cinnamon Sledges Recipe

1 c Butter
2 c Flour
1/2 c Brown sugar
1/2 c White sugar
1 Egg; separated
2 tb Ground cinnamon
1-1/2 c Chopped pecans

Cinnamon Sledges Preparation

In food processor with steel blade chope pecans. Remove to another bowl. Add remaining ingredients (save egg white) and process till smooth. Press into jelly roll pan using palm of your hand and spread lightly beaten egg white on top of the dough in pan. Press pecans into the surface. Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for 40-45 minutes. While still warm cut into squares then diamons (cut squares on diagonal.) This makes a large number of cookies which keep well in Tupperware.
