Cream butter and cream cheese; blend in flour and salt. Shape dough into 14 even sized balls and chill for several hours or overnight. Roll each ball into a 6 inch circle on a floured surface. Cut into 8 pie shaped wedges. Mix walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon, and place about 1/4 teaspoon of walnut mixture in center of wedge. Start at the wide end, and roll toward the point. Shape into a crescent. Place points down on an ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes. Cool, roll in powdered sugar. Combine the juniper, rosebuds, bay leaves, cinnamon chips, cloves, and cones in a big ceramic bowl. In a separate dish, mix the oils with the orrisroot. Stir this mixture into the first one and put into a closed container to mellow for a few weeks, stirring occasionally. Place the potpourri in a dish and scatter the roses blossoms and cinnamon sticks on top. 1. Wash beans, snip off ends. Drop into salted boiling water, reduce heat and cook until barely tender. Turn out into a colander and immediately rinse under cold water to stop cooking process. 2. Cook the bacon over low heat in a deep heavy pot until crisp. Remove bacon, drain on paper toweling, and crumble. 3. Pour off and discard all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat from pot. Wehn ready to serve, heat bacon fat, add beans, and fork-stir until heated. Stir in crumbled bacon and serve at once.

1/2 lb Margerine
1/4 lb Butter
1-1/2 c Sugar
4 oz Almonds
15 oz Plain Hershey Bars
1/2 c Walnuts Chopped Fine

Turn electric fry pan to high and melt the butter and margerine. Add sugar stirring constantly. (shift heat as necessary). Do not let mixture get too brown, as light tan is the desired color. After 5 minutes, add almonds; and then cook as before for 5 more minutes. Pour into an ungreased cookie sheet pouring off excess butter. Cool. Meanwhile, melt chocolate in double boiler. When candy is cool, frost top half and sprinkle with nuts. Turn over and repeat. Break into small pieces to serve.
